About Me
My name is Jess Albrecht and I am a Technology Support Specialist, a Unity Developer and Junior Programmer,
and a passionate Gamer.
I currently live in Bellevue, WA but grew up and attended college in Spokane, WA.
I graduated from Eastern Washington University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and minored in Sociology.
Since graduation I've primarily worked in technology support roles in Virtual Reality and Education but I am interested in
stepping out of that and into software engineering or management.
My most recent project was getting back control of an old droplet on digital ocean and getting a node.js
proxy server working again using Nginx. I was interested in learning more about real time networking
so I forked a simple chat application tutorial using socket.io and modified it to have a username, timestamps,
and added logic and commands for the classic game of rock, paper, scissors. You can try it out at

I'm a big fan of humane technology and developing things that help the world and not hurting it with ad driven content.
